Myriam, Thank for your reply, I appreciate your help. Would you know how old this could be? Just a guess would be fine with me. Thanks again for your help.

Primitive? No Marks
Hello, I have this very old, looks to be primitive piece of silver, perhaps to attach to something or wear around your neck. I have always thought it was brass or some other material, until I decided to try to polish it and discovered it was silver. It seems to be made by hand, inside it's packed wi...

Hello Silvercrown, I want to thank you for your help with my sterling whale pin. I appreciate your time identifying the marks. It's strange because I live about an hour away from the Danecraft Co. in Providence, RI, but never knew of it. I am sure there are many old and new pieces of jewelry around ...

adding another piture of Maker's Mark
Hello Tom and Blakstone, Thank you both for your help! I thought the piece looked Dutch, but because the marks were hard for me to make out on my box, I really wasn't sure. I did look again at the Dutch Hallmarks and now that I know more about the marks, I can see that it is Dutch. I also thought th...

Help with marks on old box
I would appreciate any help I can get with the marks on this old box. The marks are very worn, but I belive they are of a lion walking right, a mans head and possible another man or womans head. I have also included the makers mark which looks to be F or T and C? I hope the pictures are clear enough...

British Button Hook
Tom, Thank you for moving this to British sterling. I think the g with the other marks confused me to think this was Gorham. Sorry, I wasn't even thinking British. It's very hard to read the g so from what I have seen on the date marks In birmingham, England, the g on my hook is either early 1800's ...

Help with Gorham button hook
I do believe this is a Gorham button hook. The marks are so tiny that it's hard to make out. I can make out the anchor, lion walking right and I believe I can see the G. It does have steel stamped on the hook end. Would the handle be coin silver & date 1850 -1860? Does anyone know the pattern? T...

Hello Myriam, I see you do have similar ones, I don't have any marks on mine. So I am thinking they are reproductions and silverplate. They are somewhat old that I know.
