Hi there, Have had these spoons for a long time now and always wondered where they originated from. They are not very exciting really but I like to learn a little and enjoy doing the research but have no luck with tracing these marks - not that they are very clear but I believe they are marked 833 a...

I hope the photos are clear - on the back of the little cabinet there is an additional mark... Tha...

Re: London maker on Indian style bowl?

Martin and Phil, thank you both for your responses . I did think it was a strange style for an English bowl... Martin, I think you're right - there are indeed 12 images but I can only make out a few of them. As you say, the images are quite stylised and will have to study them a little closer to mak...

Re: Silver or plated tot cup?

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond with that information! So , I can assume that as there are no hallmarks that it is silver plated.... I was convinced that it was a C instead of a G ..
Thanks once again,
Jo.

London maker on Indian style bowl?

Hi there, I bought this bowl recently at auction where it was described as Indian- when I got it home I noticed the English hallmarks on the base which I believe are for George Fox. Are these genuine marks - as to me ,the maker and the style don’t match? Any information much appreciated- thank you! ...

Only mark on it is as pictured- I do believe it says C of H Ltd - tried to research but to no avail - any input would be much appreciated. Thank you ....
