Re: Partial Maker Mark "G BUS..."

Thank you very much. I don't see the image but the info sent me in the right direction. George Bush was apparently noted as a clockmaker more than a silversmith. Also, it appears that George Bush the clockmaker was an ancestor to George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Partial Maker Mark "G BUS..."

I bought a box of flatware at an auction last Sunday. I have not been able to identify this spoon. The spoon only has a partial maker mark of "G BUS___". Also marked STANDARD. Any help? https://i.ibb.co/5McGcmd/IMG-20221206-112406-016.jpg https://i.ibb.co/gWfHDRr/IMG-20221206-112638-929.jpg

Re: LACHENMEYER?

Here is a picture of the serving spoon if that would help anyone. The bowl is engraved in a floral pattern. Anyone?

LACHENMEYER?

I bought a lot of silverplate at auction. Most of it was easily identified but I found one piece I cannot find anywhere. Wondering if anyone can help. It is an ornate casserole or berry server and has a "LACHENMEYER" mark on the back. The only other writing is a patent 1900 mark. Thank you...

Sommer and Pierik?

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this company. I found a butter master knife marked Sommer & Pierik. It also has a patent date of 1887. I have been able to find almost nothing on the Internet about the company. I presume it is plate since it is not marked sterling. Any info would be...

"K" Hallmark?

I bought a box of flatware at an estate sale today. Most of the box was plate but I found a couple of spoons at the bottom of the box with a simple "K" in a box mark. No other markings. Anyone know what these might be? https://i.postimg.cc/sMS8G5x8/IMG-8421.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/34RWw81...

Re: 'Lion W Lion' Hallmark

Thanks for the quick reply but now I am more confused than ever. The other Brunner piece that I have has the lion, an anchor, and a date letter. The anchor is Birmingham right?

'Lion W Lion' Hallmark

Last weekend I bought a box of sterling flatware at an estate sale. I am going through the box and trying to identify the pieces. Here I have a serving piece manufactured by Brunner Bros Co. There is another Brunner Bros in the box with the Birmingham hallmark on the back so I assume this one also i...
