Coin Silver Object by James Watts-What Is It?
Found this at an estate sale. I thought it was lovely, but have no idea what it is. Can anyone help. Re: Help with Marks on European Silver Serving Spoon
Thank you, but forgive my ignorance. Is the "warden" the official the assay office? Is the F.A.Z. still correct in terms of the silversmith? The only Friedrich August Zimmermann I could find was an artist (painter). Thanks to you both again.

Help with Marks on European Silver Serving Spoon
I've posted this in the "other" category because I have no idea where this spoon belongs. It is 9" long & weighs 39.1 grams. It has a fiddle handle. It is marked "Rohlmann". Then there is a face in a circle with the number 64 underneath. It is also stamped "F.A.Z.&q...

Native American Zuni? Sterling Inlay Bear Pin/Pendant
I acquired this wonderful piece at an auction. The inlay is so amazing. Whoever did this piece is truly a master. Sadly, I cannot identify the mark, "JD". The work looks Zuni, but there is both channel and stone-to-stone inlay, so it could also be Navajo. I'm at a loss and hoping someone h...

Gorgeous Mex. Brcelet-Anyone Know the Mark?
We acquired this wonderful, Mexican bracelet at an estate sale. The deceased was a 90 year old woman. This piece definitely look like the 1950s to me and stylistically it appears after Antonio Pineda. Is anyone familiar with the mark. Clearly a very gifted artist. Thanks! http://i997.photobucket.com...

Re: Dutch Ladle & Large Serving Spoon Help
Hi oel,
Well, I can't provide the mark for the ladle as someone bought it yesterday in our shop. She just loved it. I was able to tell her what we knew from you and she didn't seem concerned about the date. So, thanks again for all your help.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know where my husband put it. I will check the ladle when he returns home.

Re: Silver Serving Set with Agate Handles-Dutch?
Oel, thank you again for the information. I don't recall the name of the family whose estate was sold, but obviously they loved Dutch silver. We live in the Amish country of Pennsylvania and there are many Dutch & German families here who have lived in this area for generations. I am finding thi...

Another Dutch Spoon-Maker HVS
Here is another spoon from the recent estate sale where we acquired several pieces of Dutch silver. I took a stab at this, but don't know how well I did. I determined that the spoon is Dutch. It has a crowned sword mark. And a date letter that I interpreted as 1830. I thought the silver fineness was...

Thanks again for all the trouble you are taking. The mark is not any clearer on the piece itself. Any idea how old this set is?

Silver Serving Set with Agate Handles-Dutch?
This is my day for feeling stupid. I have a lovely, silver, serving set with banded agate handles. I see the lion passant; what I think is Minerva's head and then a mark that looks like backwards "K" with three dots. Is it Dutch? If not can anyone point me in the right direction? Again tha...

Mystery Sterling Sugar Tongs
I posted this in "Other Countries" because I have no clue. Sugar tongs have been tested at about 950 silver fineness. They are an elaborate floral deign with no silver mark whatsoever. The only mark is that shown in the photo'; Y.K. Anyone? http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af99/myisrblu1...

Is this an antique Dutch Silver Spoon?
After reviewing "World Hallmarks" the closest I could come to these marks was the Netherlands. Can someone verify or correct me? Also any idea of the date? I couldn't find any letters with a crown over them. Thank you so much for your help. http://i997.photobucket.com/albums/af99/myisrblu1...
