Mexican Teapot Spratling Design?
I can't see enough of the maker's mark to decipher the silversmith. I've seen Wm Spratling teapots that look identical including the baffle taking up half the circumference under the lid. It measures 7 1/2" tall the lid is 3" and the base is 3 1/2" It is very well made with great atte...

Re: 17th Century German(?) Chalice
Thanks to both posters for the information and leads. A covered bowl on three legs does make more sense than a chalice of this design. Early 18th century seems accurate. No matter, it's an old and fascinating relic.

[img]https://i.postimg.cc/bw6Wk8XV/IMG-1087-1.jpg[img]https://postimg.cc/Kky4jMb0 I don't know much about this chalice, beyond it's size of 4" by 2.75. Tested at 800/1000 silver I believe it to be Bavarian late 1600's to early 1700s. The hallmarks seem to be a crescent moon followed by the inti...

Re: Very Old Spoon?
There is a maker's mark of P.H. and I've never found a similar mark. Especially since
initials are so common. Any guesses as to age, from the bowl attachment?
Thanks for the warm welcome

Very Old Spoon?
I have never been able to find anything related to this old teaspoon.
The handle soldered to the bowl makes me think this is 17 or 18th century American
