Re: Diminutive French Chocolate Pot
I wanted to add that Beuque lists the makers mark as #477 "E.T., Courounnées, Trois Cailloux, Poincoin employé, en 1768-1774, par un maitre-orfèvre d'Orléans (Loiret)". So they say it's three pebbles and not an open lilly, but who knows :)

Re: Makers mark of spoon Moskau 1827
Hi Qrt.S,
there is no answer to the maker in the other post. The only name mentioned is probably not correct as not located in Moscow but in Tver. Or did I miss anything in between all the off-topic discussion in the other thread?

Makers mark of crestening cutlery
Hi, the following is a crestening cutlery (fork, spoon) from Tallin from 1829 or earlier. This was given to my great-great-great-grandmother to her baptism. Is someone able to narrow down age and identify the makers mark (GD/CD?) that would be really appreciated. https://i.imgur.com/rZZTDXM.jpg http...

Re: Reference for Louis-Jean-Baptiste Cheret Makers mark
Just wanted to update that I found all three missing marks on the lid as well. They were hard to spot due to not being on a flat surface but on the back of the rosettes.

Re: Reference for Louis-Jean-Baptiste Cheret Makers mark
Thanks JayT, really helpful information. As for your questions: - Yes, it is the charge mark for 1789, it is better photographable on the stand though: https://i.imgur.com/zh2aSPx.jpg - The discharge mark is located at the top edge of the tureen, the edge of the lid as well as the lower edge of the ...

Re: Reference for Louis-Jean-Baptiste Cheret Makers mark
Hi JayT,
thanks for that information and checking. I would be interested if the entry says what the symbol between his initals resembles. My guess would have been a bee nest but thats probably wrong. And if Nocq mentiones that he is indeed the son of JBF Cheret.
Cheers,
Alex

Re: A very strange hallmarking, for me.
Just wanted to add that the makers mark is supposed to be the mark of Jacques Bernier, Paris, 1781 to at least 1793. Fleur de lys Couronnée, Ancre (crowned Fleur de lys, anchor). Please finde a reference item at the Met Museum: https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/200335 where an image of...
