Re: Wine Ladle

"...its a georgian alphabet letters which meant specifically year ჩ ყ ვ means 1806..." If you draw the circle completely mentally, then I think there will be room on the right for one more number. This place has been completely erased. And I am not completely sure that the third digit is ...

Previously I wrote: - where is the mark of the Tiflis Mint located, - where is the annual stamp located (Georgian language), - who was the assayer "AT" - the reason for the appearance of later marks. Please write all your questions in one message if they exist. Let me attempt to summarize...

A. Trifonov was also the manager of the mint and the head of the assay department.
So, then do I understand that Alexander Trifonov assayed this piece and his mark is the "A.T"?

Re: Wine Ladle

??? Why do the rhombus shielded kokshnik exist on silver objects? As Mart already mentioned it is/was exclusively a gold mark to be used only on gold bracelets and chains and articles of the kind and made in Russia in 56 zol. gold. According to the rules/law it was forbidden to be punched on silver...

The second mark is the annual mark (Georgian language) that has fallen on the right side.
Could the A.T be the mark of Dimitry Tverskoy?

Re: Wine Ladle

The Transcaucasian Assay Office was located in the city of Tiflis. There was only an assayer in the city of Baku. It was a branch. Hallmarks from one period of the 1830s are on the item. Plus one stamp from 1908 and I have already written twice how it could have appeared. If the previous owner of t...

I wrote earlier that the "ТМД" mark existed in the first third of the 19th century. I think your product was made at that time. A hallmark with "84" may be a confirmation of the quality of the silver, because in the 1830s, the mark "84" was not used in Georgia. what do...

Re: Wine Ladle

Hello! I see the mark of the Tiflis Mint (now the city of Tbilisi) - “ТМД” (first third of the 19th century) and the annual mark of 1830(?). The state hallmark of this region from the 20th century with 84 hallmarks is also present. And which mark is the annual mark of 1830? Does that mean it was ma...

Re: sommelier tastevin marking help

Hello The French marking system is highly regulated and very precise. The mark you show is not a mark for 925, 950 or 800 standard silver, but rather for a silver plated object. A Minerva head punched in either an octagonal reserve (925 standard after 1972 or 950 standard before 1972) or barrel sha...

Re: sommelier tastevin marking help

Hello This is a tastevin produced for an association of wine lovers, Confrérie des Vignerons de Saint Vincent, founded in Macon in 1951, with chapters in France and internationally. They wear funny hats and red robes at their events. Officers wear a tastevin around their necks, suspended on a gold ...
