Hi Bahner Thank you for your reply, we appreciate your time. Very interesting to hear that this piece is in the Neresheimer archives, you say dated 1902, is that the photograph or the piece? Do you know if it is possible to access these archives online as we would love to see an original photograph....

Does anybody recognise the other hallmark to the left of the 'N' - sorry about the focus but the hallmark is worn so hard to see the detail.

please help identify hallmarks on silver galleon

there are two sets of hallmarks on this galleon, the one that is unidentified is the left hand one of the lower image. Could anyone please give us some ideas as to the origin of this silver galleon? - someone has suggested a portuguese link but we don't know anything about it other than it was given to my great grandfather to settle a debt. It's sails are at present not attached but one of them is shown in the photo...
