Dear Steve - Wow! Thank you very much. Looking closer, I attach an enlargement of the Marker's Mark. The enlargement clearly shows the double strike and how that 2nd strike pushed upwards the upper right top edge of the 1st R making it look like an I, albeit with a bendy top! London Maker's Mark: I R C ?
Thank you for this forum. I have a query regarding the Maker's of this serving spoon please (total length 30.5cm). The other marks are clear: London 1781 (too early for a duty stamp). But I'm unable to find a reference to the Maker I R C - maybe I'm looking in the wrong place! I would be very gratef...
