Very interesting, Cheryl. Do you know if it's common to find variations of the basic patterns? Would this be a newer version or older . . . . or can you tell. Thanks so much for your help.

Not sure of this Alvin pattern - possibly Majestic

This pattern is close to Alvin's Majestic, but the flower about 2" down from the end doesn't match so I'm stumped. Anyone know for sure what pattern this is? Thank you so much. http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL846/453918/8122262/107903080.jpg http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL846/453918/8122262/...

What is this mark? Possibly old version of Jos Mayer & B

The closest identification that I can find for this old fork is an old Joseph Mayers & Bros. It's not exact, but close. I know that his more common trademark is nothing like this. Does anyone know for sure if that is the manufacturer? If not, what is it? Thanks again for any help. http://pic17.p...

Possibly Reed & Barton Pointed Antique ??

Hello again. I have what I think is a Reed & Barton fork in the Pointed Antique pattern. I cannot find a picture of the back of that pattern anywhere - my fork has a "rib" down the center of the back with a thickened area on the very end. The front is totally plain (except for the mono...

Is this a Towle knife? If not, what is it?

Hello again. The hallmark on this table knife looks something like the Towle mark, but not exactly. Anyone know for sure? If it is, the closest pattern that I can find like it is "Lafayette". Is that right? Then we come to the blade - it doesn't look like New French or Modern, so what is t...

Is this a Watson trademark? If not, what is it?

I have this little 5-3/8" ladle and cannot identify the trademark on the back. The closest I can come is Watson, but it's not exactly right. Does anyone know what manufacturer this is for sure? Thanks so much. http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL846/453918/609245/101912003.jpg http://pic17.picture...
