Stegor made the set you have, using the Gorham pattern, in 1947. The pattern name is "New Elegance" and is rated as a collectable set. Greased Silver

The piece you are showing is a bread tray and the name "King" was the beginning of the pattern name the National Silver Co. had in 1951 called "King Edward". You are correct regarding the tray is silver plated. The National Siver Co. started out before 1904 in New York. They star...

The listings I could find on "Columbia Silver Co." show the first as "location unknown, mark found on syrup pitcher dated circa 1890-1910". The second, and doubtful, listing for "Columbia Silver Co." shows "Brooklyn, NY, listed 1957-61 as manufacturersof silver&quo...

This may be a start...Could the first letter possibly be a B? If it is possible, I found a "Benjamin F. Edmonds", Boston c.1857, Manchester, NH. c. 1850 - 1856...but...still looking anyway.
