Sima is there any chance of a photo, and are you sure it is just AT and not AT&co or another? Alfred Taylor is the only AT i know of, but he was a little earlier than 1915.

Many thanks to you both.
I feel a bit stupid, i took one quick look and assumed it was Edinburgh, and then trawled the sites trying to find the maker. I am delighted to have stumbled across a piece from Exeter, serendipity i guess.

P.S. Admin, i am working on making the shots smaller.

Help with Butter Dish.

I have aquired a butter dish without a Hallmark. Although it has Sterling Silver stamped on it, I should be grateful if any one could help identify the maker R M & S, and possibly identify the Motif, and nationality. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u88/oldroyalbiscuit/silver053.jpg" oncl...

Marrow Scoop. Help with Makers Mark please.

Here is the Marrow Scoop that I recently purchased. I know that it is London 1757, but cant identify the makers mark. Does it say GS? Would be grateful for any help. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u88/oldroyalbiscuit/silver050.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (admin p...

Re: UNKNOWN HALLMARK ON SO CALLED 'GEORGIAN TOILET JAR'

The uncrowned lion puts it after 1822 but the 'P' is difficult. Nearest i think is 1830, but the surrounding stamp is more akin to the gold mark of that same year. The Duty mark though is still that of George IV, despite the fact that William IV was king, as william IV duty mark did not come in unti...

Help please with maker.

I have recently aquired this marrow scoop, and am having difficulty in tracing the maker. I know that it is London 1757, but the makers mark is almost rubbed. I have tried to post a picture but have not yet mastered photography. It seems to have a faint GS in a 'cloud like' surround. The nearest i c...

Susan, I must agree that the maker is T H Blake, and the year 1898-99, which is the correct period.

Re: English ? Pendant ?

The year is 1875. The maker mark is similar to William Sumner, London, but he died in 1807. Whether or not his family continued using the name, i don't know. It may be one of those unidentified marks that remain a mystery.

Re: Help identifying Pocket watch plz

I think the I.H is more likely to be Joshua Hardy and not James Hyne. Quite why there are two makers marks i'm not sure. Perhaps some one could explain.
