A bit more research seems to indicate that the makers/sponsors mark is actually for Harrods' so unlikely to be psuedo, I wonder if it's a leopards head which has "gone wrong".

phot frame - help with odd town mark please

I wonder if anyone can throw light on the following mark: the lion and date mark seem fine but the town mark is a disc, would this be a faulty stamp or a pseudo set of marks; the maker is HS. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/paul-trading/frame.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/paul-tr...

Egyptian Brooch - Advice Needed

I can't decide if this brooch is gold or base, there is a very small mark on the back of the brooch but I have been unable to identify it; any help appreciated.

Whilst the Palestine mark would indicate pre-1948 the sterling 925 indicates post-1948 as prior to this Palestinian silver tended to be marked 830/3.

Unknown mark on spoon

This is one of a set of 6 boxed spoons, the mark is CJA, followed by a Gothic S and finally a mark I cannot distinguish, possibly an 8. Nothing in tardy but test positive. Thank you Paul http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/paul-trading/sp-1.jpg http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b348/paul-trading/...

Thank you

Hi Thank you for putting me right, I am trying to learn all I can about silver and every mistake helps, if corrected. Coin silver marks

Hi All

No photo sorry, just a general question regarding coin silver. I recently read, somewhere on the web, that the mark "standard" is sometimes used for coin silver, is this correct.

Thanks
