I checked the content of the pieces and in fact as you suggested the ounces listed are what each of them holds.
Thanks for your help

Sheffield England spoons
I have several large serving spoons that have the letters WA inside of a rectangular box followed by the words Sheffield, England.
I have been told that items from Sheffield England which they call plate is actually sterling?? Is there any truth to that?
What can anyone tell me about these spoons.

S S P 20
I have a set of forks marked with an S enclosed in a diamond, a second S enclosed in what I will call a badge shape and a P enclosed in a box followed by the number 20.
What do these signify? In particular the 20.

Silver Soldered?
What is silver soldered? Is this a higher percentage of silver than a normal silver plated piece? For instance the creamer marked 8oz actually weighs 16oz total.

Percentage of silver in silverplate
Does anyone know the percentage of silver that is contained in silverplated items? Does it vary by manufacturer? Is there a document or website that one can look at to get this information? Lets say as an example I have a WM Rogers silverplated spoon - is the silver percentage 10%, 5%, 20% thanks Ken
