I'm not sure is it old or newly made.

Thank you for your quick reply.

It really looks like the emblem/shield of Venice.
However, I was hopping that the little line beneath the hallmark will indicate something about the date of manufacture.

Any additional help will be appreciated.

Two continental serving pieces with the same hallmarks

I 'm trying to identify the hallmarks and origin of a tray and a small serving piece. They both have the same mark that resembles an eagle (?). I couldn't find any maker's mark. Again it belonged to an Italian family. The 2 items are wrought silver and according to the work they were made in the pre...

marks identification
