ID 5.25" spoon marked Pat'd STERLING

Yes, I think you are correct, it does look like Brandon. At first I thought it might be Monticello because it is very similar, but Brandon looks exactly like my spoon. Thanks very much.

Pat,

Thank you for your post. I think you are correct although the mark on my piece is more stylized or streamlined than the one shown. However, it is a good starting point for me to investigate further.

Need help ID 5.25" spoon marked Pat'd STERLING

Can you help identify the maker and/or pattern of this spoon. It is marked A (icon) Pat'd STERLING. I'm not sure what the icon represents, possibly an animal head above a shield with an "s" inside the shield. http://webserve.govst.edu/users/gjschise/Sterling1.JPG http://webserve.govst.edu/...

Help with maker's mark & year English tea caddy

I believe this is a tea caddy as the lid opens to store something. There are two marks on the bottom "ENGLAND" and a picture of a bird, perhaps a phoenix? The top is decorated with a unicorn? which I also have taken a photo of: http://webserve.govst.edu/users/gjschise/DSCN2129.JPG http://w...

Small spoon marked Acorn-Cooper Need help with maker & y

This is a small spoon about 4.5". I'm not sure if it is silverplate or silver, but since it is not marked sterling, I'll list it here. The only mark on the backside is "Acorn Cooper". The front is engraved "Hotel Sherman" so perhaps it is American made? Is anyone familiar wi...

HN Squire & Sons - poorly marked hallmarks need help wit

This spoon has 3 hallmarks which I cannot truly make out. The first looks like a star, but could be something else, the middle looks like a lion and the last could be a head. Then it is marked STERLING and has an overmark of H. N? Squire & Sons. The H. is stamped on top of the S. Does anyone hav...

Can anyone identify these marks? There are five marks: a star, 1, IY, &S, and a symbol that looks like a Q. Thank you.

Tom, Thank you for your swift reply. I just checked the American Marks page and I do see the same mark for Henry Hebbard although my reference book TIFFANY SILVER by Charles Carpenter states his mark was HH. The reason I thought it was silverplate is because there are two worn "heel" marks...
