'R' D&H Flatware

I have pieces of D&H flatware that have the markings of either 'M' or 'H' on the reverse which I assume denote gauge/weight as the 'H' pieces are heavier. Where do 'R' marked pieces fall in weight? I assume the 'H' and 'M' denote heavy and medium. But the 'R'?
Thanks!

'S' within 5 point star/950/Sterling

I'm an avid amateur that collects pieces for fun and just can not seem to find the maker for this set. It is a Candleabra Set marked simply with an 'S' within 5 point star/950/Sterling. Also, any thoughts on possible provenance? Thanks for any help; fantastic forum here!
