Anyone recognize the marks on this ladle? American?

I have this silver ladle that I cannot find any info on. The markings look like Silhouette - Star - PF (?) - ? Anyone know the manufacture and/or pattern? It's actually my neighbors and you don't want to know what he uses it for.... http://mypicsonline.net/925/ladle1/" onclick="window.open...

Coin Silver Spoon Unkown Maker

I have a coin silver spoon with partially obscured makers name/mark. The best I can make out is WE(?) K(?)OSH(?)INS. I'm not even sure of what markings are in front of the COIN stamping. Any help would be great. http://homepages.roadrunner.com/miscstuff/coin1.jpg http://homepages.roadrunner.com/misc...

Wallace & Sons Marking?

I have a spoon with a very worn makers mark. To me it looks like RW&S stamped in front of the Sterling mark. Maybe somebody else can take a look and see if I'm seeing correctly or not. Also, if you happen to know the pattern, that would be great.

I was thinking it could have been during their coin to sterling transition. It's just nice to get some second opinions.

The NY Times article was amusing. I think the Times is starting to put their archives online. A search of the name last year found nothing useful.

Thanks for the help

That is what I thought. Having it appraised threw me for a loop because he said it was plate.

Thanks

It's hard to tell, but does it say 950? If so, it is possibly gold plate over silver (.950).

Is this Compote/Dish from Gorham?

I have a compote that I believe is Gorham. It has the Lion/Anchor/G hallmark. I was told it was silverplate. I don't recall ever see or reading anywhere that Gorham used those hallmarks on plated items. A Google search of the name stamped in the bottom, T. Kirkpatrick N.Y., showed that he was a reta...
