Maybe Scandinavian?

Post by amena »

I read today the topic
http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic ... 47&t=29132" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I also have a spoon and a fork that seem to be of the late seventeenth century, in these too the hallmark have been struck twice.
The hallmarks are extremely worn, but rearranging the tracks with photoshop you can reconstruct a partial hallmark where you can recognize two letters (possibly NA) two numbers (7 9) surmounted by a crown.
Is it possible that is Scandinavian silver?
Thanks for any help or opinion

Hi Amena,

It's Napoli. Crown above 'NAP' above the last three numbers of the year (eg. 725 = 1725).

Yes, I think so too. But I think the second digit is a 9.
Thanks anyway.
