This 7.944" (20.178cm) 1890 Danish serving spoon with Simon Groth (1863-1904) master assay mark and a makers mark of GP. Peder Gustav Pedersen - Tarnby 1913-1937 appear on the list here on 925 but his working dates appear to be slightly off from Groth's. Would very much appreciate your assistance with identifying this Danish master but would also appreciate knowing if there is any online resource available.
We all pray your having a wonderful time and find something that you can share with us, something in silver that is. ;) Use yöur sun screen and stay hydrated.
Your input is always appreciated. Is there a Danish markers mark site you might suggest in the meantime? Have only recently added Swedish and Norwegian sites to my favorites. Will try to make good use of them. Do also want to make use of Theo's site but may need a preview of his common terms translated into English to assist with the navigation.
There are lists with danish silversmith after ???? I think 1893. But that list you also havw here.
Tablet .... spelling
But before - Boje made a book in the 50/60ties. This was printed again in 3. Books in the 1980ties. Long ago sold out. In Denmark we are only a "handfull" interested in silver :-)
So no chance of a reprint edition. And nothing available online.
I have the same problem as WarrenKundis. My spoon is marked GP , Kopenhagen 1902 and assayed by Simon Groth. Has anybody an idea who is the maker?
