Maker's mark on a pipe.

I am posting this thread on behalf of Sunnyboy.

Does anyone recognize the maker of this pipe made in 1912 London? The right hand mark is L&CCo

That might be a very old pipe manufacturer of London named Loewe. However, the mark I have seen on their pipes has been L&Co in an oval.

Thanks Patrick, but I queried the point with Sunnyboy, and he says the mark is L&CCO.
Why do you think that second set of initials is there?

Lowew's is the only London pipe manufacturer that I know of who's mark comes close to Sunnyboy's pipe. If it were a mark used on Loewe pipes the extra C might stand for Cadogan, the company who bought them. This is just a guess on my part, I'm not sure.
