Austrian tea set

I found these two pieces of a tea set .

They carry the hallmark of Vienna, badly struck, in which you can read well the last digit (8), but there is not the one of the tens.
They also carry a mark STM, which perhaps could help to indicate a more precise date.

Can anyone help me to date these pieces ?
I would also like to know if this type of decoration is common in Austrian silver objects.

I think, the maker of the teaset is Stephan Mayerhofer.
These are the marks of Stephan Mayerhofer.

And there are the informations about the company from the Neuwirth: Wiener silber.

About the other question. I think, this decoration is not seems uncommon in Austria.

Unfortunately, the page with the marks is very small and I can not read the photo caption.
I understand from the article that you have reported, that the mark STM without dot was used from 1832 to 1838, then the teaset should be dated1838.
I understand correctly?
