J.D. Makers Mark on old Waltham Watch?

I have an old Waltham ladies wristwatch with a mark on the back, and don't know what "J.D." stands for. Can anyone tell me?

This may well be the owners name and not the makers. Have you looked inside the back of the watch...ie open it up and look at the backplate to see what marks are there. Best wishes, Mike.
