I'm guessing this heavy oversized (coin?) spoon is American, but it may not be. Maker seems to start with C, but the rest is tough to see. Thanks in advance if you recognize it.

Would you mind trying to reshoot the makers mark with less reflection, may be able to pick up more of the faint details.

It's possible the next letter is a w or a v. There's nothing else there unfortunately.

I used some different lighting and got a little more out of this mark. Maybe it will be enough.

Attempting to ascertain anything else there, do see part of a second letter but it may also be a long vertical scratch. Is it possible the other mark is Canadian?

I had thought a w or a v, but now I'm thinking F based on that new photo.. So, maybe CF. I don't know the Canadian marks at all. I had also considered it might be Scottish provincial. I've looked through all my books and I can't find that little thistle like symbol.
