I believe this to be solid silver and not plated. However, cannot find anything regarding the marks on this bowl. It's beautifully done. The work is intricate. It's reticulated with raised draping rosettes, and scrolls and birds all worked into the design of the bowl and foot. Measures 6 7/8" wide x 2 3/8 tall. There is a 4 letter punch mark on the base, G (under a crown), P (under a different crown) and RI (inside a shield, under yet a another crown). Not sure if this is American. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Help with marks on bowl
I suspect its German Hanau. I could not find the maker for this particular set of marks but the style is very typical as are the markings.
Re: Help with marks on bowl
It is definitely German Hanau, and from the looks of it, it's a George Roth piece, but Hanau Pseudo is a nightmare to pinpoint. There is some really good info here

I would guess that the date is ca. 1910-ish.
