Newbie with a cup

Post by sakorick »

Hello. This is my first post. I have my baby cup that I believe mother purchased in Germany in around 1947. This may be totally incorrect so it's just a guess. I was hoping this could be confirmed by the hallmark. I know essentially zero about these things. This looks like a friendly forum. You help appreciated.

Hello, this is the mark of Franz Scheurle from Schwaebisch-Gmuend, Germany. Founded in 1903, still active today under the name of Quinn. Best wishes, Bahner

Hello Bahner. Thanks a million. As a baby I lived in Munich for 3 years. My father was an Air Corps pilot and flew the Berlin Airlift. I was also an Army Aviator and was stationed in Stuttgart and Zweibrucken. Regards, Rick.

Very excellent, thanks. I thought it was German by the 1/4 moon? and crown. I have not seen many German pieces of 830 purity.....usually 800. Regards, Rick.
