I have an unidentified hallmark on the band of a rose gold diamond ring. The mark appears to be that of a Scorpion. The piece acid tests at a minimum of 10 karat gold. I had originally believed the ring was French, as I bought it with a very similar piece, which had standard french hallmarks.
I haven't been successful in finding any clues (there was a past topic in this forum, which I believe was about the watch case lobster/crayfish hallmark, however all of the photographs have expired, so I'm unable to confirm if it was a similar mark or not - http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7215 and then a scorpion mark is mentioned again at http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3767)
I have uploaded some higher quality photographs to imgur, in case the photographs below are too hard to see. I tried to take a few snaps with different lighting and angles. http://imgur.com/a/S39Kl#4
Excuse my crude drawing, but I thought I would include it, just to highlight the features of the mark.
Thank you in advance for any help!
