Italian 18K Yellow Gold with Persian Turquoise- 319 AL

Post by NrsSteph »

This ring is incredible with the detail on it and the old Persian Turquoise is beautiful. Each petal in the ring is meticulously crafted and etched, so the detail is immense and truly a work of art!

The ring is marked 319 AL and 750 for the 18K Yellow Gold. The makers mark is not encompassed in any symbol, but just stamped, so very early marking.

I know the AL is Alessandria province, but I would love to find who made it and the year this maker's mark was registered? Is there an address to request the information from?

The closest Makers Mark that I could find in the data base on this site was 320 AL, which was registered in 1948 originally, so guessing that 319 AL mark would be earlier, but can't find anything else on any sites.

I would appreciate any assistance or an address for the Assay office in Italy to request the information from?

Hi,

319 AL is assigned to DAVIDE MOLINA S.R.L., VIA PANZA 18, SAN SALVATORE MONFERRATO. The original registration was to OTTAVIO MOLINA in April 1948.

Trev- Wow, that was fast! How did you find this? I have so many Estate pieces that I need to look up and gain information on and get some idea of values and history. My Grandma owned an Estate Jewelry store and I bought a ton from her, so I have a pretty extensive collection of fine jewelry.

This piece is amazing and I knew it was old with what I had found re: Italian marks. So thankful for you and any assistance you can provide! Steph

Hi Steph,

You may post as many questions as you wish, we delight in receiving them, there are absolutely no limits, but please do not mention values and pay us back with good close-up images of the marks so that we can record them and help others in the future.
