Help w/ID, Makers Mark 800 silver spoons, Middle East Mark

Post by dasis72 »

Have a set of 3 7/8" silver spoons. All of them are punched on the back with several markings. The only clear mark, to me, is the standard mark 800. The makers mark looks to be of middle east origin. There is what looks to be a quality mark but it's just too small to see with the equipment I have. Maybe the shape will help.

Any suggestions or assistance is greatly appreciated.

The mark to the far left seems to be the same shape as the Italian national mark used from 1934 to 1944, but it is very hard to make it out. Please compare:

The 800 mark would also be typical of Italian flatware.

I think that once an administrator moves this post to the Other Countries (of Europe) section, someone may be able to identify the marks.

Hi Rebecca,

I agree with David. The key will be to identify the number and letters in this mark (upside down in your image):
