Assistance needed with identification

Post by bytebit »

Hi there. Are you the one who can assist me with identifying this hallmark 'MS'. I assume it is silverplate. Also, what does the '69' above the hallmark represent? Thanks. -- David

Hi David,

Welcome to the Forum.

See Ellis, Barker Silver Co. at: http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_E.html

The '69' would be an internal batch, pattern or order number only.

Thanks Trev. Such a quick reply! I thought it was Barker-Ellis but just wanted a confirmation. Any idea of a pair of the salt & pepper shakers. How many were made?
