No, it's TM - Thomas Mason; this mark dated 23.9.1745.

Hi Thomas,

The repoussage of this George II mug has been added later, during the reign of Queen Victoria, the mug has been "Victorianized".

Yup, I know, thx Peter.

Not on this item, but in others I've seen it looks like they added a layer of pre-chased/embossed sheet of silver...did they ever do that?? If I remember correct the inside is then still plane.

Although I do not know it would not surprise me, “Victorians” were very inventive and creative.
