Could somebody please help me with the maker's mark on this set of table forks? TW in 1842-43 could be either Thomas Wheatley or Thomas Watson I think. Thanks

Re: Newcastle 1842 table forks marked TW
It's more likely to be Thomas Wheatley. Margaret Gill's excellent little "Handbook of Newcastle Silver" shows that Wheatley was active 1826 to 1860 using only TW marks similar to this (serifed upper case letters, no pellets or stops, in a rectangular or cut-corner punch).
Thomas Watson was working 1793 to c1845, but he used a mark of this sort early on in his career; later marks were in an oval punch (1795) and script letters in a rounded-corner punch (1816). Of course we can't be 100% sure that all marks were accurately recorded so there is still a chance of error.
