Need help identifying this dish's maker

Post by desertm »

I searched for this mark but could not find any reference to it. Since it belonged to my mother in law, who broght it from the US, I can only assume that it is american.

Besides the mark, on the bottom of the dish there are two inscriptions: Sterling, and "L300"

Thanks

That mark was used by the Edward Ball Company, New York City. Don't know much about them. In business at least during the first quarter of the 20th century.
