Turner Designer Reed & Barton

Post by Traintime »

Is there any available information on George L. Turner who is credited with several Reed & Barton silverplate designs including the 1937 Socialite Pattern? Anyone know how he came to develop this pattern?

Hi Trainline,

Just to get the ball rolling, George L. Turner joined Reed & Barton around 1907, he was formerly with the Gorham Company. He was the designer of the medallion that commemorated the 300th anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims at Plymouth that was executed and issued in gold, silver and bronze, by Reed & Barton in 1919.
