This is my first post and I have read (and am hopefully adhering to) the rules.
My research indicates that this item is called a cake basket and I believe that it dates to the early 20th or late 19th century. It was acquired in China and the bottom reads "L.T.H.", then a square with Chinese characters and then "Sterling". I am providing three photos, but cannot focus my camera clearly enough to really show the Chinese Characters. The L.T.H. and Sterling are not clear in my pictures either, but they are easily visible to me with a magnifying glass. I also searched this forum for L.T.H. and came up empty. Does anyone know what the L.T.H. stands for? So that I can do more research on that front?

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
Your images are not viewable as they are password sensitive.
You are far more likely to get a response if you embed your images as very few people will click on links.

Re: L.T.H. Sterling Cake Basket
Is there information on this site on how to do that? I actually just signed up for Shutterfly this morning, so that I could provide information to this site. Any help on this front would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
To provide you with the best answer we need an enhanced cropped image of all marks. Use the macro fuction/tulip mode digital camera. Success.
Best,
Oel

Re: L.T.H. Sterling Cake Basket
Thank you so much for the direction on how to take a macro picture (the tulip function).
It was very hard to get it done, but after about 30 attempts, I finally was able to get a picture that was in focus.
Here it is:
