I recently purchased a small crumb tray that appears to be silverplate over copper. I have not been able to find any information on the internet about the mark on the back. The first group is:
Squirrel inside square
W inside square
Co inside square
Crown inside square
Underneath that are:
N inside square
S inside square
Squirrel in square

Hi,
That mark used by the Wallingford Co.: http://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_W.html
Any chance of an image of the whole item?

It has some worn areas, but is cleaning up nicely. It was totally black when I purchased it.
