somebody can identify this Viennese maker? JF if i read properly?
Last foto is comparision, another of this type salts from Graz.
And, last question, somebody know these salts (oval type, goat heels) were used originally without glass?
I have seen many, every without glass, but it savour somewhat unclear to me. Possibly only my impression?

The maker is Johann Farkas, who joined the Vienna guild in 1803. Unfortunately, my source gives no additional biographical information.

Farkas (Farkasch; of Hungarian descent ?) active 1803-1813 (the latter possibly being the year of his death). Adress was Landstrasse 7 (1803-08), Landstrasse 506 (1809-1813). His widow Barbara was supported by the Widow's Fund of the guild until her death in 1849. This most likely implies that his workshop was actually closed with his death in 1813.
