Pleas identify the manufacturer based on three images

Post by Richard7 »

I would be most grateful to learn who the manufacturer is. What I can read says "STERLING PAT. 1926". There are also 3 pictorial images. If I had to guess I would say the first is a lion on his haunches facing right, the second an anchor, and the third a pair of initials (the second maybe a "B"). I am also guessing that this a "London" hallmark. Thank you for your help.

Hi Richard7,

The three pictorial marks make up the makers mark for the US company, Gorham of Providence, Rhode Island.

Please see;

I believe the pattern of your fork is called" Princess Patricia" and was produced from 1926 until 1991.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve, Thank you for your very fast and most informative reply, especially as I obviously picked the wrong category to post the question!! Best wishes for the new year. Richard
