Hello, can you help me identify hallmarks on this spoon?
Thank you
French 18th century spoon
Re: French 18th century spoon
I found this, charge and discharge for small silver pieces, it seems to match :
The maker's mark and jurande are missing, can you confirm ?

Re: French 18th century spoon
.. Perhaps Claude-Isaac Bourgoin (C I B) for the maker mark ? And now I'm stuck

Hello bibi
You've done quite a lot of research already on your condiment or mustard spoon in the thread pattern.
The marks are as you've identified them: the charge mark of AL interlaced used from 1774-1780 on small objects, and the discharge mark of a monkey head for the same period. The jurande or date letter mark is difficult to read. During 1774-1780 the date letter should be M,N,O,P or Q. If the maker is Bourgoin there should be a heart between the C and I. Bourgoin first registered his mark on September 1, 1779. (See Nocq, v. I, p. 173). Therefore to have concordance between all the marks if the maker is Bourgoin, the date letter would have to be P or Q. Do you think it could be a P? The lyre mark is as you state.
So many marks on such a small object!

Re: French 18th century spoon
Hello,
It was not easy, but the research was exciting, I learned a lot of things. This spoon is not in my hands. Unfortunately, the letter-date is unreadable. Can be an I or an L, but in this case it does not fit the master goldsmith ... The second letter is I, and the third, I think a B. A lot of punches, but few indications for this one .. Thanks for your help jay
