Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

We will need much clearer images of the marks.

Yes sharper pictures pictures please but clean the marks before taking the photo. Nonetheless, what we can tell as for now is: Soviet Union, Leningrad most likely after 1979 but before 1992. Silver fineness 875/1000. Name of the factory is "Русские самоцветы" i.a. "Russian gems". I retain the right to amendments when better and sharper pictures are shown. Now it is like "groping in the dark".

Hi, Qrt.S

You are right. It's "Русские самоцветы".

But, it isn't USSR product. Since 2001 in maker punch the year of production is the letter of alphabet.
"А" -2001, "Б" - 2002 .... "Г" - 2004 .....
It' the first letter. The second letter is the symbol assay office. "Л" - The North-West Assay Inspection (St.-Petersburg)

In assay punch - "new kokoshnik" + 925 or 875 fineness..

WOW- You guys are good!!! lol. But I can't get my cam to get closer pics- so I drew them. I not only suck at takin pics- I suck at drawing also- sorry... The thing between the 925 and the A is like a knight's helmet. Really though- I am ecstatic and amazed with the info you have already provided. Thank you so much.

Excellent drawings :-))))))) Anyway, one amendment, the fineness is not 875 but 925/1000 in other words, sterling silver. The mark with the woman's head is called kokoshnik and it it the official Russian hallmark for silver.
