Hello,
i have a silver tankard with many hallmarks. i guess its austria from 1806. the maker mark is FK. there are als 3 little marks on the hinge. are these export marks ? can somebody help me to identify this object ??
thanks´s a lot
Johannes
I think 1806 Vienna mark is faked. It’s completely wrong. Besides, this is not the décor expected in neoclassical period. Not even sure if Hanau – poorly executed tankard.Cannot recognize other marks.Better pictures might help to identify the origin.
Regards
Hello,
many thanks for your help an quick answer, i post a new picture of the 3 little marks. i hope it helps to identify the object.
best regards
Johannes
They look like Polish re-struck marks on old silver but do not take it for granted.Marks are badly distorted.
Unfortunately, we are seldom informed about the provenance of a particular piece.I remember I bought a silver bowl in Poland with re-struck marks beside ``13`` Loth and Düsseldorf maker.
