London 1765, unknown maker?

This is one of those annoying marks which we presume were in the now missing Largeworkers Register for the years 1758 to 1773. Grimwade suggests that it is probably Joseph Steward. The full mark is circular with another star below the letters.

Thx, yes that was what I thought...another one of those missing register marks. Why do we keep saying missing, they pretty much gone for ever right ;)

I agree/or concur.
It's just a shame its been altered into a vicky decoration. (and I shed a tear).
