Ed Harris Sterling from Mystery page
Before posting my question for a piece, I decided to try to "pay it forward" beforehand. Here's what I've found on the "Sterling Ed.Harris" mystery:
(sorry, I couldn't get the URL code to work/preview properly)
"Ed Harris was(is?) a Navajo American Indian artist:
(admin edit - see Posting Requirements )
(admin edit - see Posting Requirements )
Completed listing for
(admin edit - see Posting Requirements )
Only other search I could think to do was for "Edith Harris", which would have prompted the period in "Ed", indicating a longer name disguised as male for reasons of social acceptance.

Found another auction:
(admin edit - see Posting Requirements )
Ed.Harris silver money clip, last image (saved in case it goes away) showing "(c) Reg Manning" along with "Pat.Pend." and the "ED.Harris" stamp.

Hopefully this money clip will help with the mystery!

Sorry, I don't know how to edit my original post. I do understand now how I broke forum rules, and I apologize for not reading said rules before posting. Edited entry below.

"Vintage 1950s Modernist ED HARRIS Sterling Silver Copper GOLDSTONE Cufflinks... Handmade by Ed Harris, who some speculate might be a Native American Navajo Jeweler, certainly south western, nonetheless."
"Ed Harris Navajo Sterling Carved Agate Scarab Cufflinks"

Found another auction with additional stamps that may help solve the mystery:
Ed.Harris silver money clip, last image showing "(C) Reg Manning" along with "Pat.Pend." and the "ED.Harris" stamp.

Thanks for the welcome! Hopefully the money-clip will help shed some light on the mystery as the images came from a more recent auction. I did some searches on the "Manning" stamp but didn't find anything conclusive.
Re: Ed Harris Sterling from Mystery page
There was an Ed Harris jewelry manufacturing company in Phoenix, Arizona in the 1950's that may be a good possibility.
Re: Ed Harris Sterling from Mystery page
I have also found an Ed Harris Trading Company in 1945, Edward C Harris wholesale indian goods in 1947, Edward C Harris Indian Goods in 1948, and jewelry manufacturers in 1952, always at 4311 N 24th Street, Phoenix, Arizona.

U.S. Patent #2729868 was issued on Jan. 10, 1956 to Reginald W. Manning of Phoenix, AZ for "improvements in paper money holders", the illustration shows a figure of a sailor...

Great catch Cheryl! "Reg" seems likely to be the Pulitzer Prize winning Phoenix cartoonist of the same name.dragonflywink wrote:U.S. Patent #2729868 was issued on Jan. 10, 1956 to Reginald W.
