Beautiful maltese tray,hallmarks to identify

Hi friends
I got this beautiful tray.I think it is Maltese silver and maker is Canataci but i am not sure about age(could be 1800-1810? or later?

I'm not really an expert on Maltese silver, but I have copies of a good part of the book by Victor Denaro.
On page 124 reads
With the enactment of Ordinance II of 1856 new regulations came into force. These provided that there be only one standard of gold at 18 carats marked with the impression of a royal crown, and that there be two standards of silver, namely, that of 11 1/2 deniers which was to be stamped with the impression of the escutcheon of Malta, and that of 11 deniers which was to be stamped with the impression of the Maltese cross. An innovation was that the article was to bear a date stamp which, as mentioned earlier, was to be indicated simply by the numeral 1, 2, 3 etc., commencing from the year 1857. In 1899 it was provided that, from 1900, the year was to be indicated once more by the numeral 1, 2, 3 etc.

I have no idea of the meaning of the diamond mark
