Yes, it's British, Scottish to be more precise - Glasgow 1959 by Robert Alison & Son.

The marks are worn, but from the left we have the Glasgow mark comprising a tree with a bird on top, a bell on the lower right and a salmon across the trunk; next is the lion rampant, then the Scottish thistle and finally the date letter M (I think) for 1959.
