Hello,
Here we have another spoon with no city mark. The spoon weighs 39g. Is this also a case of being too small to warrant a city mark?.
I am assuming provided this was assayed in London that the date stamp is for 1821?
I am unsure of the makers mark here so any help there would also be appreciated..
Regards,
Once again no city mark on English Georgian period sterling silver

Hi Tricky,
The spoon is an Exeter piece, made by Isaac Parkin and assayed in 1822.

Hi,
My first post here, but have used the site for years.
I have a spoon with the same hallmarks and marker mark of GT.
But no city stamp.
Can i ask how it was identified as exeter?
Thanks in advance for filling the knowledge gap.
Regards,
Dave.
