Silver mark on Art Deco Teapot. Belgium?

Post by levrier0 »

I would like to know the maker of this art deco tea pot. It is marked 800 and a makers mark MT TM or M with a hammer?

Possibly Belgium but cannot find this mark.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much, at first I thought it was German but missed some marks so figured Belgium would be it, guess I was wrong! Thank you again.

On second thought I think the hallmark TM would be Theodore Müller - Weimar ( same link as you posted ) the style of the teapot is also what I can link to Henry van de Velde.

I definitely agree with Dendriet that it is Adolf Mogler.

Look closely at the horizontal "feet" on the letter 'M', the length of the centre vertical line passing beyond the bottom of the 'M' and the narrow width of the top horizontal line. They match the Mogler maker mark but not Müller.

Cheers,
Steve

Hello, definitely Mogler, not Mueller. Plus Mueller never used four digit production numbers like the one used here. This is a production from the early 1920ies, Mogler's production numbers start wth 5000. Regards, Bahner
