Hello,
I have earrings made in Italy. Marked BUCCELLATI. Pls help to get more info about these earrings: authenticity, collection, period and etc.
Thank you.
Identification BUCCELLATI
Re: Identification BUCCELLATI
Hi,
Stones should be checked;diamonds?.
Let`s start with pave or bead setting of stones. Images are blurred and beads or prongs cannot be seen.
Stones should be held in the mounting by little beads (drops or dollops) of gold or little prongs. Use a 10x Jeweler’s Loupe and inspect the setting or take better close up pictures. Beads are supposed to cover the edges of every stone (holding them in). In lesser quality pave many set beads aren’t doing their job, i.e. they do not cover the edges of every stone and stones are set crooked. Perfect setting is expected by Buccellati with perfectly smooth surface.
The image of the marks is out focus, too.
To conclude with, I am suspicious about the authenticity. The back of earrings has too many flaws.
The info on marks was given here by site administrator:
