I can see that it's a Birmingham hallmark but I can't make out the date letter. It's definitely from one of the two date letter cycles 1900-1924 or 1925-1949. The maker's mark is almost certainly that of S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd, a mark which was in use from 1899 until about 1940.
