Not sure about this, but that LC mark looks a lot like one used by the American firm Liz Claiborne.
Could very well be! It came in a box with a bunch of other Mexican stuff so I just assumed ! And it never occurred to me that that was an "LC" - it just looked like a symbol to me! Thanks much!

Not very familiar with Claiborne jewelry, but know it is large scale production work. Everything about your piece is indicative of late period (post 1970) Native American work of the Southwest, probably Navajo. The italic sterling stamp is commercially available, but for some reason, is most often seen on work from that area.
